As party of their NY Fringe Festival Encore series, the Baruch Performing Arts Center presents Katelin Wilcox's The Pawnbroker: Lies, Lovers, and Bertolt Brecht. It's the controversial story of the legend of the famed German playwright, and the cost it took the women in his life to create it. Set in the dark days of the rise of Nazism in Germany, The Pawnbroker tells the powerful stories of five women who helped Brecht rise to fame, but shared none of the success themselves.
