If/Then Will Play Final Broadway Performance on March 22, 2015
IF/THEN, which was named the "Best Musical of the Year" by New York Magazine, will play its final Broadway performance on Sunday, March 22 at 3:00pm. Starring Tony Award-winner Idina Menzel, If/Then is an original Broadway musical written by Tom Kitt (music) and Brian Yorkey (book and lyrics), and directed by Michael Greif, the creative team behind the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical, Next to Normal.
IF/THEN began previews on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 and officially opened on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). The production played a pre-Broadway, out-of-town engagement at Washington D.C.'s National Theatre in the fall of 2013.

In addition to Ms. Menzel, the company of If/Then features LaChanze (Tony Award-winner for The Color Purple), Anthony Rapp (original cast of Rent), James Snyder (Cry-Baby), Jerry Dixon (tick, tick...Boom!, Once On This Island), Jenn Colella (Chaplin, High Fidelity), Jason Tam (A Chorus Line, Lysistrata Jones), Tamika Lawrence (Matilda), and Jackie Burns (Wicked). The production also features Joe Cassidy, Miguel Cervantes, Curtis Holbrook, Tyler McGee, Ryann Redmond, Joe Aaron Reid, Gabrielle Ruiz, Ann Sanders, Marc de la Cruz, Charles Hagerty, Janet Krupin and Pearl Sun.
IF/THEN is a contemporary new musical that follows two distinct storylines in the life of Elizabeth, a city planner who moves back to New York to restart her life in this city of infinite possibilities. When her carefully designed plans collide with the whims of fate, Elizabeth's life splits into two parallel paths. If/Then follows both stories simultaneously as this modern woman faces the intersection of choice and chance.
IF/THEN features choreography by Larry Keigwin, set design by Tony Award-Nominee Mark Wendland, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Tony Award-Winner Kenneth Posner and sound design by Tony Award-Winner Brian Ronan. The production features musical direction by Carmel Dean, vocal arrangements by Annmarie Milazzo, and orchestrations by Tony Award-Winner Michael Starobin.
