Moses, The Author

Moses, The Author

Soho Playhouse
15 Vandam Street New York

Sure, Moses freed his people. But can he free himself? That's the angsty question at the heart of playwright Andrew Heinze's comedy Moses, The Author. Described as "A love story, with scrolls," the play portrays the biblical feature as an everyday man with workaday problems. He's dealing with a rocky marriage, coming to terms with a gay son and struggling with issues of faith. And, to top it all off, Moses has writer's block. The humorous yet poignant production shows his struggle to become a better man in order to make a better Bible.
