La Boheme

La Boheme

Metropolitan Opera House
10 Lincoln Center Plaza New York

La Bohème, Puccini's definitive story of youth, loss and love, returns to New York's Metropolitan Opera via the legendary Franco Zeffirelli's famous production -- one of his greatest accomplishments and probably the most beloved staging of his career. A Met staple for more than 30 years, Zeffirelli's La Bohème is a marvel of highly detailed production design and atmosphere. Audiences went nuts during its initial appearances, and the excitement hasn't waned. Seeing the Latin Quarter of Paris come to life in La Bohème remains one of the highlights of the New York opera experience. This year's edition has the added benefit of conductors Dan Ettinger and Paolo Carignani leading the orchestra, sure to add an extra dynamic to the sumptuous visuals on stage.
