American Showstoppers: Songs by Broadway Composer Cy Coleman at Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts- Pace University

Few Broadway composers come as decorated as the late Cy Coleman, whose bold, brassy scores graced beloved shows ranging from The Will Rogers Follies to the circus extravaganza Barnum. Now Coleman's longtime collaborator, the bandleader Fred Barton, brings some of the Tony-winning songwriter's greatest hits to life in a new installment of Pace University's American Showstoppers series. Experience rousing numbers from past Coleman musicals including the film noir-inspired masterpiece City of Angels (1990 Tony-winner for Best Musical and Best Original Score) and On the Twentieth Century (1978 Tony-winner for Best Original Score), performed by a hot swing orchestra and an all-star cast of Broadway singers and dancers that includes stars from the original productions.
