Founded in 1950 by Joseph P. Hayes, Surflight Theatre is Ocean County's oldest professional AEA theatre company and has a rich local history. Now in our 65th year, Surflight Theatre continues to grow and provide those who venture to Long Beach Island, an unforgettable getaway experience. Surflight has been the home of many accomplished theatre professionals as well as serving as a training ground for students interested in pursuing a career in the theatre. Since 1975, Surflight has also been the home of the nationally famous Show Place Ice Cream Parlour complete with singing service staff. Patrons have loads of fun along with each scoop of ice cream!
