TRIBECA Performing Arts Center's mission as a producing/presenting/rental organization is to: (1) provide multi-disciplinary performances with a culturally diverse focus for underserved audiences including school children, seniors and members of community based organizations, (2) commission and support the growth of emerging theater, music and dance artists by providing rehearsal space, technical and administrative support, and producing the performances of new work, (3) present multi-disciplinary arts in education programs for young audiences that will supplement their school curriculum (4) provide performing arts events for families to enjoy together. Housed within Borough of Manhattan Community College, TRIBECA was incorporated in 1983 and maintains its own 501(c)(3).
