Damrosch Park is located at the southwest corner of the Lincoln Center Plaza, at 62nd Street between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.Part of the Lincoln Center, Damrosch Park is not a park in the traditional sense, but is instead a traditional band shell adjoined by a concrete plaza with seating for 3,000, built as an outdoor performance space by Lincoln Center in 1969. The space serves as one of the prime locations for the Lincoln Center Festival in July, the Lincoln Center Out of Doors free performance series in August, and the Big Apple Circus from October to January.
