The Last of the Knotts
15 Vandam Street New York
Selected as one of Hollywood Fringe Festival's "Best of the Fest," The Last of the Knotts is a semi-autobiographical solo show from performer/poet Doug Knott. In it, Knott's character -- a carefree L.A. hipster -- agonizes over whether or not to become a father after putting up with a lifetime's worth of pain from his own dad, an abusive Florida judge. A well-known poet and stage performer, Knott has produced and emceed a hit cult variety show, had his own nightclub, toured the country as part of performance group the Carma Bums and was named winner of the revived Gong Show.
