"'She Loves Me' is a sustained reminder of the pleasures of exalted ordinariness...It succeeds in making you feel personally engaged by every one of its seven principal characters...It's a world where even office antagonisms and anxiety can find an up-tempo synchronicity. And for those moments when you sense a song in your heart, there's a first-class orchestra conveniently nearby to help you express yourself in a style that lives up to your bliss."

"The Roundabout Theatre Company's enchanting Broadway revival of 'She Loves Me' is so charming, you kind of wish it would follow you home...The show is a special triumph for director Scott Ellis...Laura Benanti and Zachary Levi are endearing as the shy lovers in this intimate romantic comedy, the supporting cast constitutes a dream team, and the stagecraft is absolutely flawless...This little jewel of a musical may have been lost in its original setting, but we know better now."

"A musical doesn't have to be perfect to delight. Cutting-edge is overrated, too: Just give us well-crafted material and a starry cast that knows exactly what it's doing...Laura Benanti and Zachary Levi shine brightly as a classic rom-com couple...The pair have such a natural rapport that it's impossible not to root for their characters. But then the entire cast of this spry production is flawless. Bock and Harnick give us frothy songs that are built to last under their cotton-candy exterior."

"Perfection needs no commentary, so I'll make it short and sweet: The Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of 'She Loves Me' is ideal...Scott Ellis's fleet, warmhearted staging and Warren Carlyle's witty dances do complete justice to Joe Masteroff's charming book and the delicious Jerry Bock-Sheldon Harnick score: Every number pays off and every laugh lands with a bang...I do wish the orchestra contained a half-dozen more string players. All else is pure delight."

"The Roundabout gets so much right in a splendid, joy-stuffed production: casting, design and even the reduced orchestra...Benanti, besides looking as lovely as ever and earning her laughs, shows off an old-fashioned soprano with affecting vibrato. Levi slips into Georg's skin with ease, exuding sweet modesty and just a pinch of hauteur. When he cartwheels across the stage during the exultant title song, you're there with him, getting a contact high from his romantic bliss."

"The current revival pays loving tribute to the strength of Masteroff's book and Harnick and Bock's songs while particularly celebrating the women of the cast...In too many musicals the music and lyrics merely echo the book or vice versa, but a great pleasure of 'She Loves Me' is in how the songs deepen and sometimes even contradict the conversation...So much sugar won't be to everyone's taste and one could wish for less passive female roles, but this entertainment is delectable."

"Pushing theatrical boundaries is all well and good, but there's no shame in coloring inside the lines when the finished product is as vibrant as Roundabout Theatre Company's latest revival of 'She Loves Me'...Anyone with a pulse will enjoy watching Laura Benanti and Zachary Levi fall in love...Scott Ellis directs the revival in this winsome spirit of Broadway's Golden Age."

"The pleasures of ‘She Loves Me' are such that even the most jaded cynic may well leave walking on air…If director Scott Ellis doesn't quite bring out the wordplay in Harnick's clever lyrics, the cast more than makes up for this as the show progresses. Everyone gets a chance to shine…'She Loves Me' loses its way a bit near the end of Act 1…Still, the otherwise exquisite 'She Loves Me' makes a compelling case for the value of a high-quality musical rom-com."

"While ‘She Loves Me' was never intended to be a very deep show, there are times when its lack of depth hurts the production...All of the actors do a superb job with the various roles...As for Levi and Benanti, both are quite appealing in their performances and each comes off as extremely likable. They play off each other quite well...Despite its drawbacks, ‘She Loves Me' has at its heart an old-fashioned charm that's wonderfully appealing."

"'She Loves Me' is not a big, brassy Broadway musical. The revival of the '60s gem is set in Budapest, 1934. It's a more formal time, and the show champions intimacy and charm...Levi is a strong romantic lead with heart, while Benanti proves her comic chops. They, like the rest of the cast, click. In fact, the cast has more than its share of Tony winners. And it shows. There is a sweetness and care to 'She Loves Me,' aided by Rockwell's glorious sets and Ellis' crisp direction."

"What is identity? How is it tied to our family? To our race?...Each of these questions could occupy its own play, and by splitting focus to grapple with all of them, 'War' lacks a certain direction. But it stayed with me and I found myself mulling over parts of the show in the days after I saw it…There are a lot of ideas jumbled up into 'War,' and it's mostly compelling, despite that it lacks the necessary cohesiveness to be a truly outstanding play."
Act Three - The Reviews - Highly Recommended
"Roundabout Theatre Company has taken a musical theater gem, polished it up in a new, delightful production, and is presently dazzling audiences nightly with a star-studded cast...At 2 hours and 30 minutes, it's a full evening - Act I being a tad bit longer than Act II. It's old-fashioned, silly, frivolous, and delightful and I could not think of a better way to pass an evening in the theatre than with these talented actors."
