Billy Hayes' harrowing account of his time in a Turkish prison and his daring escape has been a best-selling book, an Oscar-winning Oliver Stone movie and now a one-man show. You can see the story unfold live on stage, performed by the man who lived it. Hayes will reveal aspects of his adventures that have not been told before, as well as correct scenes that were fictionalized for the movie. A typical rebellious youth of the '60s, Hayes decided to "turn on, tune in and drop out" with an extended trip to Europe. To fund his adventures, he began smuggling hashish until he was caught and sentenced to life in prison. After enduring five years there, Hayes made a desperate escape across a stormy sea and came home to a new life as a writer, speaker and performer to bring his thrilling yet cautionary tale to awestruck audiences. Stay after the show for a talk-back with Hayes to learn more about his story.
