Set to Tchaikovsky's timeless score, The Nutcracker tells the story of a young girl who receives a magical nutcracker doll one Christmas Eve, and dreams of a wondrous journey to the Land of the Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets. This acclaimed annual production at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown has delighted generations of parents and kids with its dazzling toy soldiers, dancing dolls, battling mice, waltzing flowers and the delightful Sugar Plum Fairy.

A trio of cocktails are your gift at this holiday version of the intoxicating Off-Broadway musical comedy The Imbible, which finds Scrooge refreshed and ready to throw a holiday cocktail party to rival old Fezziwig's. Marley arrives, and the duo set off again -- accompanied by a cappella carolers -- to visit a trio of experts on Christmas Spirits, learning how to mix the treasured drinks of the past and the molecular-based cocktails of the future, not to mention current-day favorites. Make no mistake about it, these reindeer games from The AlphaNYC Theater Company are definitely for adults only. Coming to The Roebuck Theater at Times Square Arts Center, this dark-as-coal Christmas comedy finds the North Pole a hotbed of scandal after one of Santa's eight tiny reindeer accuses him of a little jolly old sexual harassment. As the media catches the scent of scandal and invades Santa's sanctuary, the rest of the reindeer chime in with their own perspectives. The result: a heinous (and hilarious) tale of perversion and corruption -- entangling everyone from the littlest elf in the workshop to the tainted Saint himself -- that's sure to have mature audiences howling this holiday season.

With a score that incorporates everything from pop and jazz to gospel, this entertaining production also offers an emotional message of healing and hope. Experience all the wonder and delight of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker in a family-friendly, all-dance performance at Peter Jay Sharp Theater in New York. This one-hour production starts with the famous "Snow Scene" and includes the Waltz of the Flowers, Sugar Plum Fairy, Arabian Dance and more. The show is presented by Valentina Kozlova, a former principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet and New York City Ballet. The production also features dancers from her school, including several award-winning students, two (the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier) of whom won scholarships to the legendary Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia, where the Kirov Ballet dancers train.
