This soaring new Radio City spectacular starring the high-energy, highly-talented Rockettes celebrates the city of New York. An engaging storyline and an unforgettable soundtrack of original music and pop favorites sets the energy for fantastic new choreography and incredible Rockettes dance numbers -- not to mention exciting 3-D special effects and state-of-the-art animatronics. Heart and Lights tells the enchanting story of two cousins who take a bite out of the Big Apple, scouring the city to solve the mystery of their grandmother's secret past. Directed and choreographed by Linda Haberman (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), the show boasts a script by Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning playwright Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife, Grey Gardens, Disney's The Little Mermaid, and Hands on a Hard Body); an original song by Zina Goldrich and Marcy Heisler, lyricists and composers of Junie B. Jones and Dear Edwina; and original music by composer-arranger Alex Lacamoire, who won a Tony and a Grammy for In the Heights.
