Annie Opens May 7
State Theatre Annie

The musical sensation that started out life as a comic strip and then grew into a huge hit on Broadway, on TV and the big screen shows no sign of outgrowing its iconic red dress and curls. The beloved story of a plucky young orphan who never gives up her dreams of finding a family, Annie brings back all the great characters you know and love, including the adorable scamp herself, the lovable Daddy Warbucks, his faithful assistant Grace, the wicked Miss Hannigan -- and of course, her dog Sandy. Annie also boasts one of Broadway's most memorable scores, with unforgettable songs like "It's the Hard-Knock Life," "Easy Street," "I Don't Need Anything But You" and the ever-optimistic "Tomorrow." Directed by original lyricist and director Martin Charnin and choreographed by Liza Gennaro (Once Upon a Mattress), this new production comes to the State Theatre in New Brunswick.
