Bella: An American Tall Tale

Bella: An American Tall Tale

Playwrights Horizons
416 West 42nd Street New York

Bella Patterson is a young black woman in 19th-century America who boards a cross-country train to reunite with her sweetheart, a Buffalo soldier stationed in the Wild West. On her journey, Bella encounters a variety of larger-than-life characters living on the frontier, from cowboys to settlers and mail-order brides. Filled with humor, heartbreak, fisticuffs, madcap antics and soulful musical numbers, Bella: An American Tall Tale is a whimsical story about some of the forgotten figures of the Old West. Don't miss this co-world premiere at the Playwrights Horizons Mainstage in New York City.
